HOUSTON ART CAR MUSEUM 

Houston is famous for its eccentric museums and their is none more famous then the Art Car Museum.  Known as the "Garage Mahal" the museum is a private institution dedicated to contemporary art, especially art cars.  (Did you know Houston has the largest number of art cars of any city?)

The aesthetic of the museum draws from a fusion of the traditions of fine, folk and public art.  The most imaginiative, elaborate and artfuly constructed art cars, low riders and mobile contraptuions are on display.  In addition the museum features rotating exhibits from local and national artists.
